Our journey begins in Frankfurt, a dynamic city where historic charm meets modern energy along the Main River. From medieval old-town streets to sleek skyline views and lively riverside promenades, it’s the perfect place to kick off an unforgettable week.

Whether you arrive early to explore museums, sip local apple wine, or simply stroll along the river, Frankfurt sets the tone for what’s ahead.

Boarding begins at noon, giving you time to settle into your stateroom aboard the brand-new Transcend Connect. Take a moment to unpack, enjoy your first drink, and begin soaking in the experience as your floating home comes to life.

By late afternoon, we officially kick things off together. Meet your fellow travelers, your Detours Trip Leaders, and the incredible onboard crew who will be with you throughout the journey.

As the evening unfolds, enjoy your first night onboard with cocktails, conversation, and a lively welcome atmosphere that brings everyone together. This is where the journey, and the connections, truly begin.

DAY 2 | OCT 2, 2026

Wine, History & Riverside Charm

MAINZ

After sailing overnight, we arrive in Mainz, one of Germany’s oldest cities, where Roman history, half-timbered buildings, and riverside charm come together effortlessly. With its relaxed pace and welcoming atmosphere, it’s the perfect first stop to ease into life along the Rhine.

The day begins with a guided city tour, giving you an insider’s look at Mainz’s rich past, lively old town, and picturesque streets. From historic landmarks to hidden corners, it’s an easy city to fall into.

The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace. Settle into a café in the market square, stroll along the riverfront, or discover one of the many wine bars pouring the region’s celebrated Rieslings.

With the ship docked nearby, you can come and go as you please, returning whenever you’re ready to relax, refresh, and ease into another effortless evening onboard with great company and a glass in hand.

DAY 3 | OCT 3, 2026

Storybook Streets & Castle Views

HEIDELBERG

By morning, the landscape shifts as we arrive in Heidelberg, one of Germany’s most romantic and photogenic cities. Framed by forested hills and the Neckar River, Heidelberg is known for its beautifully preserved old town, historic university, and iconic castle ruins overlooking the city.

Today is yours to explore, your way.

Wander through the Altstadt’s cobblestone streets, stop for a coffee along the river, or make your way up to the castle for sweeping panoramic views. Around every corner, Heidelberg feels like stepping into a postcard.

If you prefer a more social pace, your Detours trip leaders will also be heading out, offering a relaxed and informal way to explore together, meet others, and discover the city.

DAY 4 | OCT 4, 2026

Spa Elegance & Black Forest Escape

Today, we arrive in Baden-Baden, an elegant spa town nestled at the edge of the Black Forest, known for its refined atmosphere and timeless charm. With grand architecture, leafy parks, and a long tradition of wellness and culture, it’s a destination that feels both polished and effortlessly relaxed.

The day begins with an included guided tour that offers insight into Baden-Baden’s rich history, from its Roman bathing roots to its days as a retreat for European high society. Stroll through manicured gardens, historic streets, and scenic river paths as the story of the town unfolds.

After the tour, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Relax at a café, explore boutique shops, or lean into the town’s spa culture for a moment of true indulgence.

With the ship nearby, you’re free to return whenever you like, unwind, refresh, and settle into another easy, comfortable evening on board as we continue our journey south.

DAY 5 | OCT 5, 2026

French Flair Meets German Soul

STRASBOURG

Today we arrive in Strasbourg, where French and German influences blend seamlessly into a culture all its own. With its half-timbered houses, winding canals, and storybook streets, this Alsatian gem is one of the most charming stops along the Rhine.

The day begins with an included guided tour offering a deeper look into Strasbourg’s rich history and unique identity. Explore the picturesque Petite France district, stroll through grand squares, and take in the architecture and atmosphere that make this city so distinctive.

After the tour, enjoy time to explore at your own pace. Wander along the canals, settle in for a leisurely lunch, or browse local shops and cafés tucked into the city’s charming corners.

Return to the ship whenever you’re ready, where another relaxed evening awaits, filled with good company, great conversation, and the easy rhythm of life along the river.

DAY 6 | OCT 6, 2026

Gateway to Alsace Wine Country

BREISACH

Today we arrive in Breisach, a small yet striking town perched above the Rhine and surrounded by rolling vineyards. With its relaxed pace and postcard-worthy views, it offers a more local, laid-back glimpse into life along the river, and a perfect gateway to one of Europe’s most celebrated wine regions.

Wander through the town’s charming streets, make your way up to the cathedral for sweeping views across the Rhine into France, or settle into a café with a glass of local wine and simply enjoy the moment.

If you’re in the mood for something more social, your Detours trip leaders will also be heading out, making it easy to join a casual group and explore together.

With the ship docked nearby, you’re free to come and go throughout the day, returning whenever you’re ready to relax, recharge, and enjoy one of our final evenings on board.

DAY 7 | OCT 7, 2026

A Grand Finale in Style

BASEL (DISEMBARKATION)

Our journey comes to a close in Basel, a vibrant Swiss city where Switzerland, France, and Germany meet. With its beautiful old town, riverside charm, and world-class culture, Basel offers a fitting and elegant finale to our Rhine adventure.

After a final breakfast on board, it’s time to say goodbye to the ship, the journey, and the new friends you’ve made along the way.

Disembarkation will take place by 10:00 am. For those continuing by train, an included group transfer to Basel’s central station is available. Alternatively, you’re free to continue your travels at your own pace and explore more of Switzerland, or wherever the adventure takes you next.

While the journey ends here, the memories, connections, and moments shared along the Rhine will stay with you long after you step ashore.
